Positive Affirmations

Affirmation: asserting that the fact is so.
The Why behind: "My Little Black Book of Affirmations."
In 1984 when I started in the Real Estate Industry, my broker made it possible for me to go to a self development seminar. It was pretty obvious that I needed it.
I became a Real Estate Professional by Divine appointment. I was an overweight, nail biting mother of five children; six if you count an abusive, alcoholic husband. We were broke. There was a kind landlord who was willing to rent a two bedroom house to us; seven people and a small dog. I had no deposit and I wouldn't even have the rent for two weeks. He looked at me in amazement and saw my desperation. He asked me if I would be willing to help him study for his Real Estate exam. He didn't speak good English . I read to him two or three times a week.
Then he realized that he would probably never pass the exam and suggested that I take it instead. I already knew the material and he gave me the book. I had never thought of being in Real Estate but I saw an opportunity to get out of a bad situation. I had heard that there was lots of money to be made in Real Estate. I didn't know that I was suffering from a lack of self esteem and that probably nobody would have confidence in me. It would have been an accident if someone wanted to buy or list a house from me.
Century 21 brought in two speakers. One of them I do not remember but I will never forget Dexter Mayworm. He taught me to make a list of positive affirmations. He promised they would work if I said them. I believed him. Those affirmations took me from a newbie to the top 10% award in 3 years.
I made a new list of affirmations for every stage of my life from then on. I have had a lot of successes; financial, spiritual, emotional, relationship, and health prosperity.
I know that wherever you are in your life, positive affirmations will help you. You are just like me.
Here are a few to get you started:
Look in the mirror and say these out loud with passion every day. Don't bother about who hears you. Go into the bathroom and shut the door. My kids would say "mommy what are you doing in there?" My husband would say "your mother is going crazy". I just said the affirmations louder. I had a list and I said them 5 or 6 times.
